Date Calculator
The number of days between two dates is the end date minus the start date, without counting the start day: January 1 to January 2 is one day. To add days to a date, count forward on the calendar; month lengths and leap years are handled for you.

How to count the days between two dates
Subtract the start date from the end date. This counts every day after the start up to and including the end, so January 1 to January 2 is one day. When both the first and the last day should count, as with many rental or leave periods, add one; the calculator shows that number too.
| Period | Days | Both counted |
|---|---|---|
| Jan 1, 2026 to Dec 31, 2026 | 364 | 365 |
| Jan 1, 2024 to Jan 1, 2025 | 366 | 367 |
| Nov 2, 2026 to Nov 8, 2026 | 6 | 7 |
Business days
Business days exclude Saturdays and Sundays and include both end dates. Monday, November 2, 2026 to Sunday, November 8, 2026 has 5 business days. Public holidays differ by country and state, so subtract any that fall in your range yourself.
Adding days to a date
Counting forward handles month lengths and leap years for you. November 2, 2026 plus 90 days is Sunday, January 31, 2027; minus 30 days is Saturday, October 3, 2026. Deadlines written as "within 30 days" may start counting the day after an event, so check the rule behind the deadline.
